COLD BLOODED BROTHERHOOD.

An Egyptian man shot dead a neighbour in a town near Cairo after the latter’s daughter made a hand sign symbolic of support for the outlawed Muslim Brotherhood, reported a local newspaper on Saturday. The suspect, a truck driver, had fired at his 60-year-old neighbour in Shebeen Al Qanter, north of the Egyptian capital, in a brawl that started when the victim’s daughter taunted the driver’s wife by waving the pro-Brotherhood Raba’ah sign, said the independent newspaper Al Tahrir. Police said they had arrested the suspect and the gun he used in the attack. Raba’ah is an area in eastern Cairo where supporters of the ousted Islamist president Mohamed Morsi staged a mass sit-in for more than a month before security forces cleared them out in a deadly crackdown in mid-August. Since then, the sign taking the shape of four fingers has become popular among loyalists of Morsi, who belongs to the Brotherhood. Morsi, Egypt’s first democratically elected president, was deposed by the arm

NOT AGAIN

The "second-class" citizen nature of Nigerians living in India was again brought to the fore this week after the police in Vashi, Mumbai, failed to register any complaint against a mob of over 100 people who nearly lynched Onouha Lucky. The mob attack on 24-year-old Nigerian occurred after he had a petty squabble over N13 (about Rs5) with a shoeshine vendor. Lucky asked the cobbler, identified as Sheshrao Purbe, to polish his shoes. Purbe narrated that he usually charged N26 (about Rs 10), but the Nigerian threw Rs 5 at him. This led to an argument and Purbe was punched hard on his face. The fight between the two soon attracted a crowd and a mob surrounded the alien. The angry mob started slapping and punching Lucky. He ran into the Vashi railway station and hid himself in a foodstall to save himself from being lynched. However, he had been spotted by someone, and the mob continued beating Lucky for about 15 minutes before the police rescued him. The embattled Nig

STILL ON THE LETTER

The Governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi, has claimed that he is one of the persons on the lists of 1,000 politicians that President Goodluck Jonathan is targeting to kill, as alleged in a letter by a former Nigerian president to Jonathan. At a rally of the All Progressives Congress (APC) held in Port-Harcourt, to galvanise support ahead of the 2015 election, Governor Amaechi decried the level of impunity in Nigeria, alleging that the police and other security agencies were molesting innocent citizens.. “There is no rule of law in Nigeria at all. We are being molested by police. They are paying thugs to shoot dynamites and guns against innocent citizens,” Amaechi told the crowd. Citing a letter by a former Nigerian president, Olusegun Obasanjo, alleging that President, Goodluck Jonathan, has hired snipers for targeted politicians, Ameachi said that President Jonathan’s response to the letter demanding that Obasanjo should provide the list of politicians targeted was not neces

REAL EDUCATION 2.

Now History is good, just as food is good, but the content of a meal determine if it is healthy. Most times we intrigue ourselves with enquiries about others, so much so that it becomes detrimental to our well being because we then tend to live under their shadows. The knowlege of oneself gives one a strong footing cos it povides one with a background on which to stand on; it gives you a platform. The essence of education is provision of a better life, can life be any better than when there is trust and truth? its a capital NO. this can be achieved if one knows and change the man in the mirro #real  education

REAL EDUCATION.1

"@ there was a country On a hot and hmid day during the wet season our geography  teacher  decided t move oentire class outside to the cool shade of a large mango tree . After setting up the blackboard he proceeded to give the class a lesson on the geography of great britain. The village "madman". Came by, and after standing and listening to the teacher's lesson for a short while, walked up to him, snatched the chalk from his hand, wiped the blackboard, and proceeded to give us an extended lesson of ogidi, my home town" Now that is real education, not from the teacher, but from the ad man.
