SOUTH AFRICAN CHILDREN SUE TB JOSHUA

Two South African children are suing the church of popular evangelist preacher TB Joshua after the collapse of one of its buildings in Nigeria killed their father in 2014. Kalambaie wa Kalambaie was one of 116 people, including many South Africans, who died. In 2015, a coroner in a Lagos court said "the church was culpable because of criminal negligence". Mr Joshua and his church have consistently denied any wrongdoing. The pastor has so far not been charged, but the engineers responsible for the building are facing criminal charges. The two children, aged three and six, are looking for at least $520,000 (£370,000) in damages, say Lagos court papers quoted in the Nigerian media. This is supposed to compensate for the money that their father would have been expected to provide them with until he turned 70. SHAME: 5 STUDENTS TO 1 CONVOCATION GOWN AT UNN NSUKKA

Nigeria’s premier university, the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, UNN, is enmeshed in a convocation preparations scandal as a graduating gown is shared by five students. The university, which is today concluding its 45th convocation ceremonies, is reportedly entangled in a convocation mess as students literally fought over convocation gowns, caps, hoods and scrolls – which are in very short supply at the institution. It was also gathered that after the students paid N10,000 each as convocation fee, which would ordinarily take care of the convocation materials, almost all the departments were hard hit by the acute scarcity of the materials. To pacify the angry students, the school authority allegedly made an ad hoc arrangement in which one gown would be worn by five different students. Enugu campus Public Relations Officer of the university, Mr Joseph Onah, confirmed the scarcity but said it was caused by the high population of students. However,

15 years old beheaded for listening to music.

A young boy named Ayham Hussein has been beheaded by the dreaded ISIS militants in central Mosul for listening to “western music”, according to local sources. He was arrested by militants after allegedly being caught enjoying pop tunes on a portable CD player in the group's Iraqi capital Mosul. He was dragged before a Islamist kangaroo court which sentenced him to death by public execution. This is the first time someone will be beheaded for listening to Western Music in Iraq as there's no Sharia law prohibiting such and the incident has sparked outrage among locals. “Ayham Hussein was captured by the jihadis while listening to Pop music at the grocery store of his father in the Nabi Younis marketplace in western Mosul. He was referred to the Sharia Court, which issued a decision to execute him,” a spokesman for the Nineveh media center told ARA News. “ISIS jihadis publicly beheaded the boy,” the source said to ARA news, speaking on condition of anonymity.

Pope John Paul II's close relationship with a married woman exposed!!!

Hundreds of letters and photographs that tell the story of Pope John Paul II's close relationship with a married woman, which lasted more than 30 years, have been shown to the BBC. The letters to Polish-born American philosopher Anna-Teresa Tymieniecka had been kept away from public view in the National Library of Poland for years. The documents reveal a rarely seen side of the pontiff, who died in 2005. There is no suggestion the Pope broke his vow of celibacy. The friendship began in 1973 when Ms Tymieniecka contacted the future Pope, Cardinal Karol Wojtyla, then Archbishop of Krakow, about a book on philosophy that he had written. The then 50-year-old travelled from the US to Poland to discuss the work. COLOMBIA LINKS ZIKA VIRUS TO RARE NERVE DISORDER DEATHS.

Colombia says three people have died after contracting the Zika virus and developing a rare nerve disorder. Health Minister Alejandro Gaviria said there was a "causal connection" between Zika, the Guillain-Barre disorder and the three deaths. Earlier, Brazilian scientists said they had detected for the first time active samples of Zika in urine and saliva. However, it is not clear whether the virus can be transmitted through bodily fluids. Zika, a mosquito-borne disease, has been linked to cases of babies born in Brazil with microcephaly - underdeveloped brains. "We have confirmed and attributed three deaths to Zika," said the head of Colombia's National Health Institute, Martha Lucia Ospina. "In this case, the three deaths were preceded by Guillain-Barre syndrome." Guillain-Barre is a rare disorder in which the body's immune system attacks part of the nervous system. It isn't normally fatal. Ms Ospina said another six deaths

The Head of the Biotech International Limited, Dr. Krishna Ella, said at a news conference that it had already filed for a patient for the Zika vaccine. “On Zika, we are probably the first vaccine company in the world to file a vaccine candidate patient about nine months ago,” he said. Ella said the firm, which is based in the southern Indian state of Andhra Pradesh’s capital Hyderabad, had sought the Indian government’s help for carrying out human and animal trials for the two candidate vaccines, which have been developed by its scientists, using a live Zika virus. The claims came a day after the World Health Organisation said that the Zika virus poses a global public health emergency requiring a united response. The virus has been linked to cases of microcephaly, in which babies are born with underdeveloped brains. Ther

REAL LIFE MOVIE: EL'CHAPO GUZMAN ESCAPED FROM PRISON AGAIN

Early this morning, drug kingpin Joaquin ‘El Chapo’ Guzmán, head of the Sinaloa Cartel, escaped from the Altiplano maximum security prison once again. It is unclear at this point what exactly happened, but these are the details ABC News has received from Mexican officials so far: 2:35 AM: Guzmán was taken in restraints by two prison guards on a routine cell transfer. 3:05 AM: Prison staff could not locate Guzmán or the two prison guards’s whereabouts. The prison was put on lockdown as personnel went looking for them. 4:15 AM: A prison van was found abandoned only a mile away from the prison. Mexican officials believe the two guards, who began working at the prison just months ago, were actually members of the Sinaloa Cartel working for Guzmán. Before today’s escape, Mexican officials were working to extradite “El Chapo” to the United States, where he faced drug trafficking charges connected to his cartel, authorities said. FIRST CASE OF SEXUALLY TRANSMITTED ZIKA VIRUS RECORDED IN THE USA

rare case of the Zika virus being transmitted through sex, not a mosquito bite, has been reported in the US. A patient infected in Dallas, Texas, is likely to have been infected by sexual contact, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) told the BBC. The person had not travelled to infected areas but their partner had returned from Venezuela. Zika is carried by mosquitoes and has been linked to thousands of babies being born with underdeveloped brains. It is spreading through the Americas and the World Health Organization has declared the virus a global public health emergency. The American Red Cross has meanwhile urged prospective blood donors returning from Zika-hit countries to wait at least 28 days before donating their blood. The "self-deferral" should apply to people returning from Mexico, the Caribbean or Central or South America during the past four weeks, the Red Cross said in a statement. In another development, two cases of the Zika virus have been
The World Health Organization declared a global emergency over the explosive spread of the Zika virus, which has been linked to birth defects in the Americas, calling it an “extraordinary event” that poses a public health threat to other parts of the world. The U.N. agency took the rare step despite a lack of definitive evidence proving the mosquito-borne virus is causing a surge in babies born with brain defects and abnormally small heads in Brazil and following a 2013-14 outbreak in French Polynesia. Monday’s emergency meeting of independent experts was called in response to the spike in babies born with microcephaly in Brazil since the virus was first found there last year. Officials in French Polynesia also documented a connection between Zika and neurological complications when the virus was spreading there two years ago, at the same time as dengue fever. “After a review of the evidence, the committee advised that the clusters of microcephaly and other neurological com
