THE DENT IN HELPERS: WHAT DO YOU REALLY KNOW?

A woman was leaning over the victim of a street accident and the crowd was looking on. Suddenly she was roughly pushed aside by a man who said, "step back, please, I have a course in first aid." The woman looked on for a few minutes while the man got busy with the victim. Then she said calmly, "When you come to the part where you have to send for a doctor, I'm already here!

Most times, this is how we react to situations, in our thoughts, words and actions, the help most people need is inside the person you are attempting to help.

Far beyond the end of the road was a mountain range, and at that time of evening it flattened into a matte indigo wash, like a mural.
