According to the Mirror UK, the Real Madrid star already has a bronze statue, a museum and a hotel bearing his name in the island’s capital city of Funchal.

He is now set to be honoured again as the Island’s main airport will be rechristened the ‘Madeira Cristiano Ronaldo airport’.
